Request Italian certificates and civil records
We assist with requests for birth, marriage and death certificates, extracts and full copies of civil records, as well as residence and family-status certificates where the applicant is entitled to obtain them. These documents are different: the correct format depends on the receiving authority and the intended use.
- Information needed: the person’s full name, date and place of the event, the municipality if known, the intended use and the requested format. Existing copies can help identify the record.
- What we do: identify the relevant office, prepare and submit the agreed request, follow up and collect the document where authorised.
- What you receive: the document issued by the office, in the format and delivery method agreed in the quote. A scan is not necessarily a substitute for an original.
- Limits: access restrictions, eligibility and the availability of records must be checked. We cannot issue or alter official certificates.

Research Italian ancestors and historical documents
If you do not know the municipality or exact date, we can assess a targeted search in municipal records, archives or parish registers. Send the names and spelling variants you know, an approximate period, family relationships and any existing documents or clues.
The quote defines the sources, geographic area and period to be searched. We report the searches undertaken and any records located within that scope. A search may produce no result; finding a record, proving a family relationship or establishing citizenship eligibility cannot be guaranteed. Additional searches require a separately agreed scope and price.

Check civil record transcriptions after citizenship recognition
We can follow up with the relevant municipality on the administrative status of a transcription and request the resulting Italian extract when available. To assess the assignment, we need the municipality involved, the type of record, the recognition or transmission details and any reference number or correspondence already available.
A status enquiry, a request to transcribe a record and the issue of an extract are separate activities. The quote specifies which activity is included. Where a transcription has not been completed, the outcome of the assignment may be an update from the office rather than a certificate.
Document retrieval and follow-up do not themselves establish a right to Italian citizenship. Eligibility assessments, court representation and other reserved legal activities require an appropriately qualified professional. Citizenship-related document support (Italian).
Other administrative document requests
We also assess requests involving criminal record certificates, pending charges certificates, apostilles, legalisation and other public-office documents. The competent office, applicant’s entitlement and authorisation requirements depend on the document and its intended use. An apostille, legalisation and translation serve different purposes: tell us the destination country and the receiving authority’s requirements so the requested work can be identified.

Authorisation and assistance from abroad
Many assignments can be arranged remotely. Before proceeding, we explain whether a signed authorisation, identity document, proof of entitlement or another form of representation is needed. Some procedures may require your presence or a specific power of attorney; this is checked for the individual assignment.
For your first enquiry, send a brief description rather than a full set of identity documents. We will explain which documents are necessary and how to provide them for the agreed work.
Fees, expenses and delivery
Consultations and administrative work are paid services. Any paid consultation is quoted before it takes place. The written quote identifies the activities included, our service fee, applicable taxes and any office charges, stamps, research costs or delivery expenses. Apostilles, legalisation, translations and courier delivery are included only when expressly specified.
We agree the payment terms, delivery format and any additional work before proceeding. Office processing times and record availability are outside our control. Any timing estimate is an estimate, not a guaranteed completion date; let us know about deadlines before accepting the quote.

We offer a local operational contact in Italy for agreed document requests, targeted research and administrative follow-up. We clarify who authorises the assignment, which office is involved, the deliverables and how updates will be shared. We do not present a professional as a partner without a real agreement.
